Google has announced the Android 2.2 (Froyo) few weeks ago and now its finally available for Nexus One, yes now Android Froyo is available on Google Nexus phone, new Android 2.2 (Froyo) Coming with many new features which will give you really good experience to using it.
Android 2.2 Froyo, would support date tethering via USB and Wi-Fi. The tethering function will allow the users to share the phone’s data connection with other devices. The users can either hook it up via USB, saving battery-life and acting much like a 3G USB dongle or create a Wi-Fi hotspot like the MiFi personal wireless router.
But one of the main problems Android is the scattering of different versions running on various devices. It is one of the things that Apple’s Ios beats Android in. All the Ios devices have their upgrade cycle controlled by Apple itself. In Android’s case the updates are in the hands of the manufacturers who would rather have the users to buy a new phone and sign a new contract to get the latest OS.
The Android 2.2 ROM is much faster than Android 2.1 and almost 2 to five times faster than 2.1 eclair. There are many other useful features that come with android 2.2 update apart from flash 10.1.
By the end of this week, users will receive a message on their phone’s notification bar for access to this update. They can download and install this version directly on their handsets for enjoying the new features
