If you are Droid Incredible users I am sure you are anxiously awaiting the launch of Froyo that is expected for today. But don’t believe every word you hear about it as you were badly disappointed when it was not released for HTC Droid last week.Verizon has announced officially that the HTC Droid Incredible will get the Froyo today with additional features on it.Speculations have significantly risen in the last few days that the Android 2.2 would be released for update on Droid Incredible.
The latest version of Google’s mobile operating system code-named Froyo is required for devices to run Adobe Flash Player 10.1, which allows the web browser to fully make use of websites that use Flash for navigation, games, and showing video. The Droid Incredible’s version of Android OS 2.2 includes tethering and portable hotspot software, allowing it to share its 3G Internet connection with other devices over a Wi-Fi connection. But a reader says, “You know, for most people, these updates are just a routine thing, they don’t waited with bated breath for each update and then at the instant the update is installed, spend all night figuring out all the new things. As far as I know, only the fandoms, regardless of make or model are the only ones living their days according to the date the next update takes place”.HTC is also adding the ability to record high-definition video in this upgrade. The Incredible’s 8 megapixel camera is physically capable of this, but the software to make it possible isn’t available now.
Although the HTC Droid Incredible is one of the top Android phones around and will now get the improved Android 2.2 to catch up to its competitors namely the iPhone 4. While it still does not support 4G, its design quality and user interface along with its speed, make the Incredible one of the best smart phones out there. Verizon Wireless sells this smart phone for $199 for a two-year contract period.
